Providing literacy and basic education to the children of migrant construction labourers.
The migrant construction labourers can't afford to provide basic education to their children and as a result, these children are deprived of their birthright of being educated. And they also lack knowledge regarding the exploitation they go through in their community.
Kruthi and Senora have started a club where students dedicate two hours after school to teach the children of migrant labourers English, Maths, EVS, Life skills, health and hygiene, and self-defence.
So far, they have a team of six members and have worked with 25 students and have seen significant improvement in their students’ academic performance and also cognitive indicators of development in self-awareness.
Both Kruthi and Senora are currently attending university in Bangalore after graduating from Parikrma Humanity Foundation where they first began the initiative.
